In this key position, you will provide technical and general accounting assistance to the Assistant Finance Director.
You will be responsible for monthly financial analytics, the annual budget process, and monthly budget analysis for Physician Support Services, UCLA Medical Group, PAO, and the float pool.
This role will involve overseeing the general ledger month-end closing process, including coordination of the process with internal/external data customers and suppliers, and internal/external financial reporting.
You will serve as the accounting department contact and provide support to the Faculty Practice Group.
Salary Range: $78,800 - $175,000 Annually
Qualifications
We’re seeking a self-motivated, strategic professional with: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required - CPA/MBA preferred * Seven or more years of related experience * Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, fund accounting, and healthcare accounting * Ability to manage accounting system maintenance and produce financial reports for medical groups and physician networks * Experience analyzing accounting processes and recommending changes to improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency * Knowledge of computerized general ledger and subsidiary systems * Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office * Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports/presentations * Skill in analyzing information, practices, and systems to identify and solve problems * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Expertise in leading professional personnel * Working knowledge of EPIC billing system preferred UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and more than 260 community clinics throughout Southern California.
