Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years' experience in Finance and Accounting (preferably heavier in Finance)
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling
Knowledge of Manufacturing/CPG industry
Experience with ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O)
Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Director of FP&A with multiple projects, financial modeling and analysis that are critical to the success of Finance and Accounting department.
This individual must have a clear understanding of all areas of accounting, including AR, AP and GL.
Develop and maintain agile financial models and reports
Maintain monthly reporting and variance analysis
Assist in departmental annual budget and periodic forecasts in support of company objectives
Maintain rolling forecasting process used to identify and communicate areas that may require additional focus
Recommend, implement and report on benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance
Identify key business drivers and create financial and operational dashboards and KPIs
Assist in the preparation of materials and presentation decks
Perform research and analysis as required
Provide accurate and detailed information and updates to the Director and provides financial guidance.
Perform ad hoc projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional financial modeling experience
Strong presentation skills, both verbally and in writing (PowerPoint)
Ability to work with big and complex data
Strong attention to detail and passion for accuracy and granular details
Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize and complete tasks
Team player with a willingness to take on ad-hoc projects and tasks outside of core role
Expertise with accounting best practices and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Knowledge and proficiency with ERP Systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with data analytics (such as Power BI) and planning tools preferred
Ability to work independently
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and customer oriented
Resiliency and adaptability when navigating a fast-paced and dynamic Founder-led organization
