Disney Media Distribution (DMD) is the international television distribution division of The Walt Disney Company.
DMD licenses over 30,000 hours of programming to over 1,300 broadcasters across 240 territories worldwide.
Its portfolio includes motion pictures from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films, ABC Studios TV series, TV movies and miniseries, Disney-branded kids programs, ABC Daytime and ABC News programming, as well as the Annual Academy Awards®.
We are looking for a full-time intern to join this dynamic business in support of the Business Operations Accounting team.
What You Will Do
Summarize royalty reporting information from over 250 customers and load data into the royalty tracking system
Partner with analysts on team by updating royalty tracking sheets, following up with customers for delinquent reporting and helping ensure reports processed by our 3rd party provider are accurate and up to date
Help process royalty reports for quarter close process
Aid in testing of system outputs as we add additional customer to the system for royalty report processing
Product title mapping review and research
Weekly KPI report on product title mapping
QlikView dashboard anomaly research
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Self-motivated
Organized and detail oriented
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Curiosity about media and entertainment industry
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in entertainment industry
GPA of 3.
3 or higher
Education
Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or other related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through January 2025
Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship; 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, CA area.
Also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
The pay rate for this internship in California is $21.
70 per hour.
