Building on your strong public accounting foundation, you will work closely with talented colleagues and our clients’ management, external auditors and tax advisors to address their most pressing challenges – accelerating your own career in the process.
As a Tax Consultant, you will focus primarily on partnership and corporate tax compliance.
You will perform administrative tasks required for filing tax returns, help identify potential tax issues and communicate any risks to the team, and work closely with tax software applications.
In this role, you will focus on:
Tax Compliance
Provide exceptional client service by performing administrative requirements such as printing returns and correspondences and mailing via certified mail
Apply tax knowledge to assist with engagement processes and procedures
Once trained, conduct detailed reviews on all returns and appropriate review notes for preparers, raising potential tax issues and identifying book-to-tax differences
Research
Appropriately identify circumstances requiring in-depth research
Concisely frame the issue, conduct research and document conclusions
Tax Consulting
Gather relevant information for controversy work
Document all significant tax positions by creating memos to the files and ensure proper supporting documentation is maintained
Interim Management
Assist clients’ finance and/or tax teams with short-term tax support

Ideal candidates will possess the following:
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting; advanced degree is preferred
CPA Preferred
2+ years of public accounting experience; corporate taxation; accounting for income taxes experience preferred
Willingness to perform administrative duties needed to complete the Tax Return process
Willingness to learn Corporate and Partnership Tax and a desire to develop the skills needed for a successful career in Tax Accounting
Experience with tax research databases, tax preparation software, and standard tax workpapers preferred
Experience with tax provision software preferred
