At MMChr we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented payroll administrator with extensive experience in *UltiPro/UKG Ready* and a strong background in customer service.
As the payroll administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees while providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires a deep understanding of payroll regulations, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
*Duties & Responsibilities:* *Requirements:* * Manage end-to-end payroll processing using UltiPro/UKG Ready system (Internal HRIS system) * Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
* Maintain and update employee records, deductions, and garnishments.
* Review and reconcile payroll reports, addressing any discrepancies or errors promptly.
* Stay updated with local and national payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Experience applying laws, rules, and regulations concerning payroll transactions.
* Knowledge of multi-state payroll.
Become a subject matter expert on all state-by-state regulations such as minimum wages, state leave deductions, SUI percentage requirements.
* Ensures that tax withholding, and deductions are done correctly and with accuracy.
* Maintain a high degree of consistency and uniformity with how information/data is recorded across all entities.
* Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and filings in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Calculating pay raises, shift payments, and overtime compensation * Calculating wages and salaries for clients * Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting clients to complete them accordingly * Issuing client employee wages by check or electronic transfer * Generate payroll-related reports and analytics to support management decision-making.
* Develop and maintain a deep and broad understanding of the company’s HRIS and timekeeping systems * Review details of terminating employees and ensure accurate processing of all final paychecks * Ensure conformance to company policies (proper administration of employee classifications, paid time off policies, application of pay and/or overtime, reimbursements, deductions, etc.
).
* Assist clients with payroll-related requests, such as tax forms, direct deposit, and wage calculations.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze complex payroll data.
*UltiPro/UKG Ready Administration:* * Serve as the system expert and primary point of contact for all UltiPro/UKG Ready-related matters.
* Configure and maintain payroll system settings, including earnings, taxes, and deductions.
* Collaborate with HR and IT teams to implement system enhancements and resolve technical issues.
* Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
*Customer Service:* * Provide exceptional customer service to employees and MMChr clients, responding promptly to inquiries, and resolving payroll-related issues.
* Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address employee concerns and provide accurate information.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues, particularly those positions responsible for participating in the preparation and processing of payroll related activities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with all team members and internal colleagues * Exhibits professional confidence, integrity, and sound judgement * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve payroll-related issues.
*Process Improvement:* * Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the payroll function.
* Develop and implement streamlined payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to payroll management.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), a plus * Considerable hands-on experience using *\*UltiPro/UKG Ready\* *a major plus * Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity and maintain a high level of professionalism.
* FPC or CPP certification a plus * Salesforce administration a plus * Knowledge of federal and state labor and tax laws * Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
* At least three years of experience with payroll administration * Experience with HRIS systems and accounting software is a plus * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related software applications.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with various technical systems.
