About the Role:
The Tax Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Global Tax team.
This role will be responsible for acting as a tax specialist for the firm with regards to preparing income tax return schedules and other tax compliance workbooks, while analyzing data provided by the Accounting & Finance Department and preparing tax schedules for the preparation of the US federal and state partnership income tax returns, Sales and Use tax returns, and other tax compliance requirements.
This role will be located in our Global Services Office, situated in downtown LA.
Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Other key responsibilities include:
Assisting in coordinating the process of providing information to external tax accountants with respect to the preparation of the US federal and state partnership tax returns and international tax filings
Working with the Senior Tax Analysts to prepare certain general ledger analysis and perform quality assurance procedures
Calculating and preparing the partners’ US and international tax calculations
Assisting with maintaining a compliance schedule of all US federal, state, and international tax returns
Assisting with any projects needed by the Global Tax Department or staff

Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
And have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or arelated field
A CPA license or working progress toward CPA license
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in public accounting at a multi-office professional services organization
Experience with preparing US federal and state partnership income tax returns
