*We are seeking a Motivated and Experienced Controller to join our Growing Team to oversee our Glendale Dealerships.

The Controller will work closely with the VP of Finance and business office team to execute the accounting function of the dealership.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* Prepares a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer's format and time frame.
* Interprets and analyzes the financial statement continually.
* Keeps the General Manager and dealer informed about trends and the cash needs of the business.
* Develops and maintains an effective cash management system.
* Prepares short and long-term profit projections for the dealership.
* Maintains weekly asset meetings with department managers to review cash flow opportunities and establish/review store processes.
* Coordinates annual audit (or review) and physical inventory.
* Maintains loss reserves for contingent liabilities and trade receivables.
* Establishes and administers a loss review program.
* Automates all possible systems and establishes controls.
* Prepares a daily management report.
* Maintains a professional appearance.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university; with a focus in accounting or finance preferred, or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* At least five years of experience in accounting at an automobile dealership required.
* High knowledge of excel and must be proficient with pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, and other complex formulas.
* Experience in closing month end according to GAAP accounting guidelines.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while juggling multiple tasks.
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work in a very busy, high-pressure, team setting.
* Strong collaboration skills - can work well with navigating various stakeholders and teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.
