*Job Title:* Accountant
*Reports to:* Director of Operations and Executive Director
*Overview of position:* The is an exciting and challenging full-time opportunity for an accounting professional who seeks to play an integral role in building and supporting the financial infrastructure of a dynamic and high-impact organization.

Our objective is to create healthy, peaceful & productive lifestyles through means of victim advocacy, case management, counseling, family counseling and referral services.
*Duties and responsibilities:*
* Monitors, reviews, and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and adequacy of supporting documentation.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
* Clarifies or researches issues as necessary.
* Provides input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms, records and documented procedures.
* Record and process Accounts Payable
* Prepares monthly billing invoices and collects payments efficiently and accurately
* Assist with making copies and scanning documentation for monthly invoicing
* Developing an effective document storage and filing system and digitizing hard copies of documents
* Collecting documents from departments and program management
* Assists with monthly closings and preparation of financial statements
* Record monthly journal entries as well as transactions in General Ledger
* Records Petty Cash transactions as needed
* Records incoming payments
* Assists with budgets and forecasts
* Monitor budget vs actual variances and generate relevant reports to support program managers in operation planning
* Assists with different aspects of internal and external audits
* Develops and maintains efficient filing system for various programs
* Participate in trainings for personal and professional development, including self-care and wellness
* Attends meetings and trainings, as required
* Maintain healthy self-care for your personal well being
* Maintain positive and consistent ‘business casual’ dress code
* Conduct the daily tasks given to you by your supervisor
* Assists with general cleanliness of the office and workstation
* Participate in training and self-care activities when provided by Crossroads
* Any other duties not listed above to ensure program and client success

*Skills/Qualifications:*
* · Have a strong understanding of US GAAP, experienced with developing & implementing internal controls and processes to ensure accurate reporting
* · Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively: keen analytics, strong problem-solving skills, ability to interpret data to support decision making
* · Manage time efficiently and effectively, ability to multi-task and willing to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
* · Experienced in using Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is a must!
* · 2+ years related experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.
00 - $26.
00 per hour
