About the role:
We are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator who will be responsible for the payroll function and ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations.
The role will also administer employee benefits for the organization.
You must be proficient in MS Excel & Word with strong communication skills.
About you:

This position will report to the VP/Controller and is based on site at our HQ in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations and changes to pay rates.
Administer benefit enrollments & changes and annual open enrollment.
Review employee benefit invoices for accuracy.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.
Provide records and documentation to senior management and auditors as requested.
Identify and recommend updates to payroll accounting software, systems and procedures.
Be the point of contact for all payroll & benefits information for employees.
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Work with benefits broker of record to properly administer benefits to employees.
Collaborate closely with the HR team.
Other duties as assigned by the VP/Controller & CFO.
Experience and Skills:
Extensive knowledge of payroll function, payroll taxes, internal controls.
Proficient with ADP payroll software
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task.
Must be a team player with excellent organizational, analytical and time-management skills.
Ability to partner effectively with other departments to achieve desired results.
Collaborative, positive, solutions driven with desire to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Expert skills in Microsoft Excel.
