Assistant Controller, Private Equity

*GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES* *Primarily responsible for quarterly reporting for our joint ventures.
Responsibilities include:* * Coordination of Private Equity reporting (Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements for joint ventures).
* Managing the Private Equity reporting team (2 accountants) * Coordination of the financial statement external annual audits.
* Monthly and quarterly accounting responsibilities related to the joint ventures.
* Responding to joint venture investor requests *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting * CPA * 7-10 years of experience in accounting/reporting/private equity, preferably within the real estate industry * Public accounting experience is a plus * Able to manage a team * Strong organizational and time management skills * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Attention to detail and accuracy * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word * WDesk software knowledge is a plus * MRI software knowledge a plus * Able to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders across the company * Team-oriented, enthusiastic individual who works well under tight deadlines *ABOUT DOUGLAS EMMETT* Douglas Emmett, Inc.
