Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team.
Duties:
* Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verify, classifying and recording accounts payable data
* Prepare and issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
* Process credit card payments for clients when necessary.
* Attend bi-weekly meeting for project billing updates.
* Review change orders by conferring with architect, project manager, or job captain.
* Reconcile open invoices and follow up with clients for payment.
* Clerical duties (i.
e.
answering phones, assisting with packaging and shipping documents, filing documents, scanning and printing)
* Ongoing review and checking of the documents for accuracy and completeness.
* Keep correspondence & files organized.
* Pick up plans & applications from corresponding local agencies/utilities and drive them to the office for processing when necessary.
* Enhances team and organization reputation by accepting new challenges and accomplishing different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the firm.
Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point)
* Familiar with QuickBooks (preferred).
* Strong attention to detail.
* Adequate math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to drive own reliable vehicle.
* Well organized.
* Able to manage their time efficiently and effectively.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.
00 - $23.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
* 4 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
