Fix clutch on PT Cruiser - $1 (Culver City)

Had a nice guy look at my car, told me to get a clutch slave cylinder.
I did, $120.
Then he told me that he made a mistake, that I needed a clutch.
Had another nice guy refuse to diagnose my car in person, told me that I needed a clutch and a flywheel, and that I had to buy those first before he would come over.
Said he could do the job for $700.
Look, I need an honest mechanic to fix my clutch.
I will not accept a diagnosis by telephone.
You need to look at the car and determine what needs to be done.
I do not need a flywheel.
