2014 D-18 Sycamore Dreadnought (1 of 50) #20
This is a special make of a D-18.
Boomy Martin tone.
Martin created the Limited-Edition D-18 Sycamore acoustic guitar to celebrate 50 years of manufacture at there Sycamore St.
Location.
The D-18 sycamore uses solid sycamore for it's back, sides, and performing artist taper neck.
Topped with a torreified solid sitka spruce top, this 14-fret dreadnought delivers big, punchy tone that cuts through with ease.
Limited to a run of 50 instruments.
It's really a beautiful guitar with lots of projection.
There was a slight 1.
5 inch binding separation when I bought that I recently had repaired by a Luthier.
You cannot even see it, but you could not before I fixed it either.
I just did not want it to grow.

Also, this guitar came with an upgraded case called an Ameritage, these cases are really well built.
Check them out on line.
They are expensive, well worth it.
They are serialized, and have a storage area in the case for humidification, plus attached to the inside of the case cover a temperature monitor.
Also, these cases are heavier than a Martin case.
I think just the case if you ordered one is around 1K.
Dunno it came with the guitar.
