$525 without the hard case.
A SHORT SCALE LEGEND Based on the original Duo-Sonic guitars from 1956.
The Duo-Sonic's unique voice is due to its 24" scale length, the same as other Fender guitars in the Offset Series like the Fender Mustang, Musicmaster and Jaguar.
It possesses a vibrant sound and makes for a very playable instrument.
It has a slinky feel, extended chords are easier to finger, and you can pull off multistep bends easily.
A combination of single-coil and humbucking pickups delivers sweet, glassy Fender tone, with sound-shaping provided by a 3-way selector, Master Volume and Tone controls, and a push-pull tone pot that switches the humbucker to single-coil operation.
Beginners and experts alike agree that there's a lot to love about the Fender Duo-Sonic HS (humbucker and single coil).
CLASSIC FENDER TONE FROM A SINGLE COIL PICKUP AND A SPLITTABLE HUMBUCKING PICKUP The Fender Duo-Sonic packs two Duo-Sonic pickups, plus 3-way switching and Master Volume and Tone controls.
Pull up on the tone pot to switch the humbucker to single-coil mode for classic Fender chime, or push it down for growling humbucker tone.
These pickups deliver those glassy '50s-style Fender tones and also have enough output to make your amplifier growl when you turn up the volume knob.
Delivers a wonderful variety of tones.
SHORTER SCALE LENGTH ISN'T JUST FOR BEGINNERS The Duo-Sonic has long been a favorite among beginners and players with smaller hands, thanks to its shorter 24" scale length.
And easier chording isn't all that the shorter scale has to offer — it lends a slinky feel to this guitar and makes it easier to pull off big string bends.
A FAMILIAR-FEELING NECK With a "C" profile and 9.
5" fretboard radius, the Fender Duo-Sonic will feel familiar to any Fender fan.
The neck is finished in satin polyurethane, as opposed to the glossy polyurethane on the body.
The satin finish feels fast and smooth in your hand, delivering a broken-in feel from day one.

No neck pocket cracks.
No noticeable scratches.
Neck is straight and the back of the neck is very smooth.
With the shorter scale, this is one of the most comfortable necks I've ever played, especially for punk rock.
Fret wires have lots of life in them with no pitting or tarnishing and no uncomfortable fret sprout (unfinished fret ends that cut your fingers).
Rosewood fretboard excellent.
Tuners hold tunings very well, even slack tunings.
I don't play it much as I mostly play bass guitar but I think I recall experiencing a minor issue with the 3-way pickup selector switch where it sometimes didn't work on one position (common issue on electric guitars and very easy repair).
However, I tested it when I took it out of the case for pictures and couldn't recreate the problem so it's either intermittent or I'm thinking of the wrong guitar as I have several.
Just know that it might need the switch to be replaced or repaired at some point.
I just priced them and found some as inexpensive as $7.
I think that I paid around $10-15 for the labor to replace a pickup selector switch on a guitar a couple of years ago.
The standard Fender tuners were replaced with Fender locking tuners for superior tuning stability and fast and easy string changes.
This did not require any drilling of new holes or other modifications to the headstock.
Check out videos online that show the fast and easy swap process.
100% easily reversible if you prefer the hassle and instability of standard tuners for some odd reason.
Swap would take about thirty minutes if you know how to screw and unscrew (sarcasm).
I don’t have the inferior originals.
This exact model and color guitar was featured on ads on a popular music sales site as one of the most popular guitars purchased on the site.
