Up for your consideration is a 63-65 Hagstrom Coronado Bass IV.
The early ones had Bisonic pickups while 66-67 had smaller pickups.
This had its accordion buttons removed before I found her and has a volume pot for each pickup instead.
the slide lever is now a tone.
The original red finish is in tact under an EVH design.
Luckily the black spray paint comes off easily without harm to the orig finish.
I can do that for you if you like.
I found the original tuner NOS as one was not correct.
Its a cleaner than the others.
The bass plays and sounds great with medium low action but Ive never had it set up.
The wooden nut is cut too high and lowering that would make it like butter.
Its a medium 32" scale and of course the Bisonic pickups are revered and copied.
The neck is quite slim and narrow and was billed as the fastest neck on the market.
Its in good to VGC with lots of signs of use.
Its 60 yrs old.
ANyway its very rare and there doesnt seem to be another available in my searches.
Will consider trades for other
vintage gear, or a great working vehicle: ie minivan, SUV, van, stepvan, bus.
Other vehicles considered as well.
Thanks
