and be a part of the newest luxury hotel in downtown LA,! As part of the highly anticipated billion-dollar The Grand LA project, this is the 7th Hotel in the U.
S.
and the 1st in California.
Located in the most exciting state-of-the-art development in DTLA, this luxurious 28-story hotel will has over 300 rooms, a spa, 16,000 square foot rooftop with a pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and 4 food and beverage outlets.
This includes a signature restaurant, outdoor restaurant, lobby bar, and in-room dining all in partnership with Chef Jose Andres' award-wining restaurant group, .
In this role, you will oversee operations for 5 bars (to include the banquet bars) managing a team of 20 and reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.
In collaboration with the Director of F&B, Restaurant GM's, and Banquet Manager, you will also facilitate staff training, curate and manage the hotel's beverage program.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with a passion for creating unique experiences, a talent for staff training and development, and proven success of leading a team to provide consistent, high-end service.
At least two (2) years' experience in food and beverage leadership to include curating and managing a beverage program with a background in upscale dining is required.
Prior hotel, union management, and opening experience are a plus.
Want to learn more? , What will I be doing? Hire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in all beverage operations in the Hotel.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
Assign and instruct Beverage staff in details of work.
Observe performance and encourage improvement were necessary.
Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situation and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for Beverage staff and other hotel employees.
Interact with sales department personnel and restaurant staff as needed for guest service purposes Field customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose he most effective solutions.
Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgement, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Develop and implement basic operating standards for Beverage service in compliance with federal, state, local and Hilton's own practices.

Employee Alcohol Awareness Training and Compliance) Maximize restaurant department profitability; implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs and monitor the restaurant's budget to ensure efficient operations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses.
Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, retrieving and stocking product.
Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.
Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancement measures.
Maintain established inventory by ordering all liquor and supplies in accordance with business needs.
