The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire.

Summary: Manufacturers Bank is a middle market commercial bank with an announced expansion into consumer banking, including deposit and lending products with the launch of our Jenius Bank division.
As the Vice President Credit Card Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in the development of a new credit card product, ensuring that it complies with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Your expertise in regulatory compliance will help guide the product development process from inception to launch and beyond.
You will work closely with multiple departments, including Product, Operations, Credit Risk, Risk Management, and Legal to create a compliant, safe, and competitive credit card product.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a comprehensive compliance program tailored to our credit card product, ensuring adherence to applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
Collaborate with the product development team to provide compliance advice and guidance from the initial stage, helping to shape a product that is both innovative and compliant.
Conduct and supervise regulatory risk assessments and audits, creating action plans to mitigate identified risks.
Stay up-to-date with and coordinate action plans for changes in laws and regulations related to credit card products and services, interpreting them and advising the team accordingly.
Establish and oversee training programs to ensure that all staff members are aware of and understand compliance requirements and responsibilities.
Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization, demonstrating the importance of ethical behavior and regulatory adherence.
Act as a subject matter expert to the organization, for the regulatory risks and requirements relating to the credit card product Coordinate with the Legal department and other second line risk teams to address any potential issues related to the product, proactively mitigating risks.
Handle any regulatory inquiries or examinations related to the credit card product.
Position Specifications: 5+ years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, with specific experience in credit card services.
Extensive knowledge of credit card regulations and industry standards, such as the Truth in Lending Act, CARD Act, FCRA, and others.
Proven experience in taking initiative and/or building and implementing compliance programs from the ground up.
Excellent leadership and negotiation skills, capable of navigating through a complex matrixed environment.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory language into actionable business requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree, other relevant advanced degree, or professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are a plus.
