Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
- Draft legal documents, including affidavits, petitions, and briefs
- Maintain and organize client files and documents
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with government agencies, courts, and other parties involved in immigration matters
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and assist with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as an immigration paralegal or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in legal research and data entry
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
