Thomas the Apostle School is a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Los Angeles.
Due to an increase in enrollment, we are seeking a full-time Kindergarten teacher for the current school year (2023-2024).
Requirements The ideal candidate is one who: is a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Catholic Church; possesses great classroom management skills; has the ability to differentiate instruction based on students’ needs; can quickly problem-solve; is flexible; has a professional attitude and strong work ethic.
Most of all, we are looking for a candidate who is kind, compassionate and empathetic when working with children.
Minimum requirements (must have): Bachelor’s Degree; Fingerprinted through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles; Completion of Virtus training TB (Neg.
) Test Result; CBEST (passed) Preferred: Candidates with experience teaching/substitute teaching in TK-8 Catholic schools; Master’s Degree and/or Teaching credential; Ability to utilize technology in a teaching environment; Catechetical Certification; CPR/1st Aid Certification Submit resume and cover letter.

Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget.
New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
