Summary:
Cosm is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our Venue IT Infrastructure team.
This key role involves building and maintaining the infrastructure for our new entertainment venue and global operations center.
The successful candidate will be tasked with designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining the system architecture for both the venue and the operations center.
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience in Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, Okta Single Sign-On, cloud systems, storage infrastructure, and automation.
Additional familiarity with systems specific to entertainment venue operations, such as Food & Beverage (F&B) and Ticketing systems, will be highly advantageous.
This position is ideal for a team-oriented professional with a strong background in systems administration, eager to contribute to the development of our innovative entertainment spaces.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with leadership, engineers, and vendors to build new solutions for On-Premise and SaaS providers (AWS)
• Design and implement all services for new venue buildout including domain, AD, DNS, alerting, monitoring, storage systems, SaaS-based services, and many others.
• Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the engineering team.
• Act as part of the Ops Center team as Tier 2 and 3 support in monitoring the overall infrastructure for all venues.
• Provide quality documentation and training on system designs, best practices, and operational procedures to other system admins and IT Specialists.
• Drive efficiencies through process automation to optimize operations and ensure service uptimes and adherence to internal SLAs.
• Participate in remediation efforts, performing system maintenance, and regular patching.
• Proactively monitor KPIs and address areas of improvement
• Participate in efforts to increase monitoring, logging, and signaling capabilities
Experience:
• 6+ years of experience in IT
• 4+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, or relevant experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Systems administration in an enterprise-level environment (AD, DNS, DHCP, etc).
• 2+ years of VMware administration, backup and maintenance (vCenter, vSphere, vMotion, etc).
• 2+ years of experience with writing scripts and IT process automation – PowerShell, Python, etc.
• 2+ Experience with identity management infrastructure/architecture with multi-factor authentication (Okta) with an understanding of standard authentication protocols such as LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, and OAuth.
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems including, LogicMonitor, Grafana, Xmatters, etc.
• Experience with Networking Infrastructure, WAN Design, and Administration.
• Experience with cloud architectures, and platform such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS in a multi-region deployment.
• Experience with automation/configuration management software (Ansible, Salt, Chef, etc.

• Microsoft Certified: Server Administration, AD, etc
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
• Available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required.
• Must be able to work during a live production, with loud noise levels, and busy environments (non-office environment)
• Ability to maneuver around an entertainment venue and walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment
• Comfortable lifting heavy objects up to 40 lbs
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $100,000-$115,000.
The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
