The BIM Modeler will develop accurate representations of lighting systems in Revit.
Advanced Revit skills are required.
This position will work closely with the design team and collaborate with cross-functional teams, to generate efficient project workflows and successful project outcomes, aligning with the modeling standards and practices set by the BIM Manager.
This role will also support BIM Manager in the development and deployment of policies/templates.
Achieving Results – Project Responsibilities Directly assist designers to efficiently model high quality BIM models by implementing established firm-wide processes, methods and design guidelines Collaborate with the design team to successfully integrate design ideas into the BIM Model Setup new projects in Revit Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve BIM technical issues Setup Navisworks clash detection models and generate clash reports Prepare BIM models for use in Rendering environments, such as Enscape Performs other tasks/projects as requested by the BIM Manager Working with Clients – Client Responsibilities Enhance HLB’s value to the client and promote the firm Uses communication tools to manage client expectations Working with Teammates and Managers – Management Responsibilities Collaborate with the BIM Manager to develop and maintain the firmwide BIM needs Exhibits flexibility and cooperation with teammates Interface among design and technical staff as needed and communicates effectively with varied staff levels Manages work and prioritize time appropriately HLB’s Corporate Culture and Values – Responsibilities to HLB initiatives Commitment to implementing new programs and ideas that improve the firm in all respects Represent the firm in a professional manner Reinforce HLB values – Artistry, Curiosity, Balance, Integrity, Legacy Participation in Designing our Future activities Skill Set Proficient in use of Autodesk modeling/management applications including Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, NavisWorks and documentation applications such as BlueBeam Experience with SketchUp, Rhino and lighting photometric software preferred Understanding of Building Information Modeling Ability to be proactive in terms of assuring future project efficiencies and synergies Ability to innovate and improve corporate BIM systems and policies Ability to troubleshoot BIM and project related issues Ability to create accurate, 3D parametric families for Revit Ability to read, interpret, and develop BIM technical documentation Ability to integrate and institute communication workflow between BIM software and Excel Understand project workflows from preliminary design through construction documentation and administration Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex technical skills Self-motivated and self-directed Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams Flexibility and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to prioritize / time management skills Team player Dependable Experience in Dynamo or Grasshopper preferred Education & Experience Certificate or Associate degree with a focus in Revit-Modeling in the AEC industry Autodesk Certified Professional preferred Minimum two years of relevant BIM experience in the AEC industry Compensation $65,800 to $77,800 The final agreed upon compensation is based on cost of living, individual education, qualifications, and experience.
