Our goal is to support and empower growth, self-esteem and teach the tools required to live life with greater confidence and purpose.
We meet each student where they are and create a plan for them that highlights their abilities and encourages them to level up for success! We are seeking an outgoing and experienced Camp Counselor to join our team from June to August 9th! As a Camp Counselor, your top priority will be to ensure the safety of our campers.
You will oversee camper activities and make sure they don’t get lost or hurt.
You will also help plan fun activities and games.
The ideal candidate loves the outdoors and wants to share their passion with campers! Responsibilities: Help plan and facilitate games, sports, and other outdoor activities Lead scheduled activities, while creating a fun, positive and safe experience for all campers.
Assign and Direct staff assistance and mentor youth leaders with all scheduled activities.
Ensure safety of campers, volunteers, and staff assistance.
Demonstrate fun and positive demeanor.
Maintain a professional attitude and great communication skills with employees, campers, and families.
Monitor campers and escort them to various activities Provide fun learning opportunities Communicate with parents Qualifications: Previous experience as a camp counselor or in a similar position Must have experience working with youth with disabilities.
Families are required to proved aides or adult support, if needed.
Ability to work well with different age groups of children, teens, and individuals of all ages with special needs.
Highly organized and responsible Excellent communication skills First-aid and CPR-certified before June 17th Ability to multitask and handle complex situations appropriately.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including hiking, running, and carrying equipment Schedule: * Morning Part-time (8:15am-1:30pm) * Afternoon-Evening Part-time (1.
30pm - 5.
