Extended Program Lead (Summer Camp)

*SUMMARY* Hands-On Science Camp is a dynamic 7-week summer program.
Classes are offered to youth aged prek-8 th grade in all major sciences.
The Program Lead is responsible coordinating the afternoon Extended Day Program.
The Program Lead is primarily responsible for planning, preparing and implementing activities for participants.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * College courses in science and/ or physical education preferred.
* 1 to 2 year’s experience teaching or working with the public in a classroom, informal educational/public setting preferred.
* Excellent customer service skills and team player with an energetic personality.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Chinese, or Korean desired.
* Good computer skills with relevant software applications.
* Effective interpersonal skills with diverse audiences.
* Ability to work with little or no supervision.
* Physical ability to lift, move, and organize supplies that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
* Physical ability to stand and walk for long period of times.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include some holidays, weekends and evenings.
*MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * * Plans and prepares activities and snack for participating groups of preschool, elementary and secondary aged children.
* Supervises and coordinates extended day programs.
* Responsible for purchasing and sorting all supplies including healthy snacks and beverages for participants.
* Organizes and prepares materials for use in programs.
* Responsible for following all closing and security procedures for assigned buildings.
* Tracks student attendance in the program.
* Performs other duties as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $23.
