French King & Queen Bergere Chairs (Pair) - $1,500 (Studio City)

These have been in the family for generations and we are now parting with them.
We know they go back at least to 1920 and are unsure whether they are American Trans French from that period, in which case our price is still very low, or whether they are from the earlier Louis XVI era, but it would require tearing it apart to find out and we are not interested.
These were reupholstered by us in the 80s with silk fabric that would be in the $400-500/yard range today.
The fabric is still excellent.
Gilding will age to a dull brown referred to as luster and it appears to be authentic on the legs and woodwork.
Mom had these in the entry way and they rarely got used.
They have a great look and are ready for someone to feature them prominently again.
