*Position and Responsibilities:*
BSS is seeking for an emergency management professional with the skills, experience, and proficiency to perform the following responsibilities in an effective and timely manner:
· Develops and updates all hazards plans, continuity of operations plans, and recovery plans.
Ensure these plans are well written, properly organized, and readily available for training, and emergency activation.
· Conducts training workshops related to all emergencies and recoveries-related activities and identifies potential gaps and weaknesses and recommends mitigation efforts to ensure resiliency
· Assists with the necessary preparation and required standardization as it relates to policies and procedures to obtain national accreditation certification programs.
· Conducts research on best emergency management practices and performs the analysis to provide meaningful recommendations that are practical and ready for implementation.
· Performs administrative-related functions related to training, drills, and other such as, writing class descriptions, identifying staff based on functions, scheduling, tracking reports, assisting with inventorying emergency supplies and other.
· Coordinates work activities, program functions, and special events with internal/external partners.
· Resolves procedural, operational, and other work-related emergency preparedness issues
· Participate in preparedness initiatives such as preparedness fairs, outreach events, seminars, conferences, and other similar activities to promote resiliency and increase awareness.
· Supports the emergency operations center when activated.
· Reviews develop and update preparedness outreach material.
*Minimum Professional Requirements:*
· At a minimum five years’ experience in emergency management preparedness and planning, preferably with state and/or federal entities
· Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Must be able to relate and communicate with individuals with limited emergency management knowledge and experience.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must be familiar with the following:
\* Use and administration of MS SharePoint.
\* FEMA Disaster Public Assistance Guide Incident Command System 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications, is a plus.
\* Robert T.
Stafford Act Section 404, 405, & 406, and FEMA Disaster Public Assistance Guide Incident Command System 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications
· Must be knowledgeable and/or must have certificates for:
\* FEMA Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation (HSEEP)
\* FEMA Professional Development Series Certificate (PDS)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.
00 - $120,000.
