A/R Collections Specialist (FT)

We have an immediate need for an experienced AR Collections specialist to work with a company located in the city of Vernon.
This is a temp-to-hire position that offers a pay rate of $23 to $24 DOE.
Job duties and requirements for AR Collections Specialist: Responsible for communicating with customers on open credit issues Responsible for documenting customer-related communications in the company’s internal customer service system Review account receivables aging schedule for collections purposes Responds promptly to customer inquiries for information and documentation requests on their accounts Responsible for direct communication with various department managers on an as needed basis regarding past-due customers Responsible for processing credit card transactions Other responsibilities include: preparing collections letters and aging reports, researching rebate checks and preparation, generation, and review of various internal reports Prepare debit and credit memos as required Route data entry as needed Account reconciliations prepared on a monthly basis Prepare daily deposit as needed The position requires accuracy, persistence and attention to details High school diploma or equivalent 3 year of experience in an office setting Ability to type and 10-key by touch Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques and to demonstrate analytical skills Ability to investigate and document customer issues Possess excellent communication skills Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook (or similar e-mail software application)
