Riley Securities division, our Equity Research team consists of more than 45 investment professionals providing fundamental financial analysis on more than 400 publicly traded companies across most all industries.
Our analysts utilize the latest databases of publicly available financial information and other sources to formulate investment opinions then communicating these through written research reports making buy, sell, hold recommendations.
Our team is actively communicating with corporate executives, industry experts, institutional investors and internal partners.
As a summer intern within Equity Research, you will gain valuable experience to real-world financial analysis, gain a greater understanding of the stock market, individual stock valuation analysis and trading, while interacting with many internal and external experts in their field.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1.
This is an in-office position with the possibility to work remotely.
2.
Provide research support to various Research Analysts across multiple sectors such as technology, clean energy, industrial, financials, consumer, crypto, metals and mining, etc.
3.
Participate in industry and company research, financial analysis, and report writing.
4.
Interact with internal and external industry experts, corporate executives as well as internal partners (institutional sales, trading desk, etc).
5.
Participate in daily research-sales meeting, and other department and company meetings.
6.
Gain exposure to B.
Riley Securities products, services and business practices.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
1.
Undergraduate or Graduate student focused on economics, accounting, or finance is preferred.
2.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Bloomberg and FactSet helpful).
3.
Must be a self-starter that can work independent of daily oversight.
4.
High level of maturity and professionalism.
5.
Candidates should possess an intellectual curiosity.
6.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
7.
