Artemis Hospitality is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team.
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

*Responsibilities:*
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
* Perform financial report writing to communicate financial information to management
* Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations
* Conduct financial audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate finance initiatives
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using accounting software
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
* Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording receivables data
* Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
* Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
* Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
* Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
* Perform month end account closing activities including the coordination of information required to prepare the financial reports.
* Prepare bank reconciliations.
* Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals.
* Assist in preparing monthly financial statements for review to facilitate issuance by management’s deadlines.
* Assist in preparation and filing of various local and state tax reports.
*Skills:*
* Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles
* Proficiency in financial auditing procedures
* Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
* Advanced proficiency in using accounting software
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
