Position Summary:
The Billing Operations Manager oversees and owns the order to cash process.
This position involves managing the delivery of invoices to customers, subscription provisioning, optimizing the cash application process, and facilitating timely collections.
The role requires strong staff management, accounting knowledge, and a drive to understand and improve processes.
The manager must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate exceptional problem solving and customer service skills.
The role also requires seasoned analytical skills to address and resolve complex billing and payments issues.
Strong accounting knowledge pertaining to the accounts receivable cycle is required.
Salary & Compensation: *UCLA provides a full pay range.
Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

Qualifications:
Account Receivable 5+ years Accounts Receivable management experience (Required)
Demonstrated skill in mastering technology and improving accounting processes (Required)
Demonstrated skill in accounting systems, preferably NetSuite (Required)
Demonstrated skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect varying levels of importance of multiple work assignments (Required)
Demonstrated skill in collecting information, explaining policy, and negotiating with others to achieve desired outcome (Required)
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and UCLA departments (Required)
Knowledge of accounting and ability to correct errors in accounting transactions (Required)
Ability to work with minimal supervision (Required)
Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a team of three billing, payments, and collections staff (Required)
Intermediate Excel skills (Preferred)
Demonstrated skill in system implementation projects (Preferred)
Able to work with Pacific Time Zone business hours (Preferred)
Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area and/or equivalent experience and training (Required)
